  • SAF pillow block bearing is manufactured in cast iron, cast iron and ductile iron.
  • SAF split pillow block bearing design accommodates grease or oil lubrication.
  • Combination of five bearing types, four sealing options and two mounting methods, enabling the SAF to be optimized for a wide variety of applications.
  • The housing is mated set; they cannot be interchanged with other caps or bases.
  • SAF split pillow block bearing are available in two and four-bolt base mounting configurations, which allows for moderate adjustments during installation.
  • The cast iron SAF split pillow block accommodate self-aligning ball bearings or spherical and toroidal (CARB) roller bearings and are suitable for adapter or cylindrical mounting to a shaft.
  • SAF split bearing or housings are available for shaft sizes ranging from 1-3/16” to 10-1/2” and offer a choice of two or four bolt base mounting.
  • The housings are horizontally split and have two or four bolt holes in the base, depending on the housing size.
  • SAF pillow block bearing convenient split design facilitates assembly and disassembly.
  • Precision machined housing seat provides even load distribution and dependable float mountings.
  • Allows grease or oil bath and can be easily adapted to circulating oil systems and can accommodate both inch and metric shafting.

  • Full complement needle roller construction provides high radial load capacity and improved resistance to shock loading verse caged needle bearing.
  • Manufactured from bearing quality steel.
  • A heavy-sectioned outer race design to help withstand shock loading of cam follower operation
  • Inner studs are induction heat treated in the roller path and flange surfaces only. The remainder of the stud is not hardened resulting in a ductile stem that provides toughness.
  • Black oxide finish on all external surfaces inhibits corrosion.
  • Our sealed bearing option helps extend bearing life by utilizing a lubrication groove and LUBRI seals. The lubrication groove in the outer raceway provides a lubrication reservoir to help prolong lubrication intervals and increase the pre-lubricated life of the bearing. The LUBRI seals helps in three ways:
    • The labyrinth and contact sealing protect against loss of lubricant and helps prevent entrance of contamination.
    • The vents help prevent seal blow-out during relubrication.
    • The integral backplate design reduces internal friction by eliminating metal-on-metal contact
  • The threads are manufactured to a class 2 tolerances.
  • Bearings are supplied pre-lubricated with lithium soap thickened grease.
  • Standard sizes and custom designs available upon request.
  • Double rows of cylindrical rollers for higher speeds, radial load rating and incidental thrust capacity.
  • Manufactured from bearing quality steel.
  • Inch series Heavy-Duty bearings have a large lubricant reservoir design and inward pointed rubber lips as standard to provide maintenance-free operation.
  • Metric series Heavy-Duty bearings incorporate a metal shield to help protect bearing and retain grease.
  • The inch design threads are manufactured to a class 2 tolerance and the metric design threads are manufactured to a class 6G tolerances. Metric stud type series are supplied with two jam nuts for simple installation.
